Hi !
Your Leshy and Shamura comic left me in absolute shambles- I adore those two so much, they’ve been on the brain for so long- Shamura in your style also gave me brain worms. I just adore your art style so much-like AAAAA??? It reminds me of 90s Retro and I loveee ittt-
Little Shamura fanart for you ! <3 The brains worms you gave me are so intense and I love it- the little details- UGGHSHBDBDBD I’m so normal-
WAARHRGAHGRBELljdhsfsja
YOUR ART IS SO CUTE WTFFF. I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS BUT I'M SO HERE FOR IT, I did the soyjak point at my screen even though I'm just like alone in my room and nobody's awake yet. As a token of my appreciation I drew a little continuation to your art cause you mentioned the shamura + leshy comic specifically and I feel like giving them a healing moment before the unending anguish inevitably returns. Leshy is not usually this succinct when it comes to responses to shamura's boomer moments so I'm assuming he rehearsed with heket and kallamar lmao
It's always funny to me when someone says my art has a 90s vibe cause I was not alive for the 90s BUT a lot of my influence comes from the cartoons back then, so I'm happy my art can still evoke the era!! Actually I'm just very happy about your drawing in general because I'm noticing little things like, their blue tongue and big neck fluff and crunchy speech bubble lines so I'm punching my desk irl. IN A GOOD WAY. I JUST DO THAT WHEN I'M REALLY EXCITED LIKE WHEN HYMNS OF THE UNHOLY DROPPED. I know shamura is not my character but I'm kinda overjoyed seeing the way I draw them as drawn by someone else just because you wanted to do it........thank you so much for this!! I'm having a weird time rn so this was the best possible start to my day

Interview With the Vampire + Perfumes
i posted about wanting to make this and people were also curious, so here it is :) i absolutely have no qualifications to be making this. i just love perfumes and iwtv and wanted to combine em!! lmk ur thoughts <3 fyi this gets pretty long-winded and analysis heavy at times
louis de pointe du lac (new orleans/paris eras)
very slow world in my mind. i think he'd gravitate to the warm spice of it and the hints of whiskey. this also smells a bit like incense, which i think is fitting for him. louis' religious upbringing will always inform how i approach him. but this scent also reminds me of the clubs in new orleans, cigars and rich drinks, and that transfers over to him exploring new sides of himself in paris with photography and engaging with art and cafe scenes. i question the inclusion of the balsamic top note, it's actually much more tea-aligned! this is also quite masculine to me, which makes sense as, particularly in nola, he had to be a little overly masculine-- older brother, man of the house after the death of his father, business owner, and a black business owner in an extremely racist setting. i like this for him, i'd even go as far as to say maybe it's not quite masculine enough.
runner-ups: full incense by montale, nothing but sea and sky by une nuit nomade (this one is very bergamont heavy, which i also think he'd like) foreshadow by curatrix (this one is in my rotation rn and i am almost out because i use it SO much. musk, tobacco, incense, cypress)
louis de pointe du lac (dubai)
this one isn't similar to the above at all, but i think it sort of stays in line with what we know of louis in dubai. it's a very fresh scent, with residual fruity and cedar/fig accords snuck in there that are more noticeable with longer wear. this feels performative like most of dubai, put-together and appealing to the senses but deceptive at the end of the day. i think it's still something louis genuinely likes, but i see him, when he's happy, wearing something a bit more explicitly sweet-spicy, less wood-spicy. this is an amalgamation of the above scent and other sweeter, floral accords he'd drift to, but not quite leaning into it the way i suspect he'd be were he actually healed, had he actually confronted his past in full and emerged content with his circumstances.
runner-ups: of true minds by liis (this is inspired by shakespeare's sonnet 116, also smells like sooo complex. floral spicy with a bit of suede) angel dust by fugazzi (cashmere, pepper, bergamont)
lestat de lioncourt
i actually took so long to decide for lestat. after consulting @operahouses (thank you for enduring my lengthy perfume character analysis) i'm happy w this. it's very very floral, mostly rose, with jasmine and iris too. there's also the underlying patchouli and according to what i read, a sort of rosewater wine-y feel about it. walks the line of intense and mysterious with an elegant softness that feels very true to lestat coming off of paris and finding his footing (and the love of his life) in new orleans.
runner-ups: l'olympia music hall by histoires de parfums (floral, also the name is very lestat in the vampire lestat to me) baccarat rouge 540 by maison francis kurkdjian
rockstar lestat
this is zoologist, which literally makes perfumes off of animal scents. i think that is so fucking cool. anyway-- this is a very bold scent that takes the sweetness of the initial perfume i shared and expands upon it with some really interesting notes. there's passionfruit, leather, teakwood, and incense. (INCENSE, which i think he'd intentionally wear for the nostalgia it could potentially evoke in louis!!) but, overall, a very impressive and borderline questionable miasma of smells. because of this, it's startlingly unique. verrrry memorable, which is kind of the desired experience of a rockstar trying to get his ex-husband back.
runner-ups: triumph of bacchus by argos (this one has such an insanely diverse array of accords i feel only he could pull off) do not disturb by vilhelm parfumerie (this leans into femininity a bunch, which i am down for with lestat. also has some questionable accords but again i think this era welcomes that)
armand
so i'm not even going to pretend i'm not projecting with my first choice for him because i am-- press gurwitz 0.3 is soooo criminally underrated. it's got the knockout combo of the cinnamon and vanilla but when the smoky spice of it hits... it HITS! it also isn't overly sweet at all. the vanilla subdues the sweet notes and leaves sort of a smoky yet clean spiciness over time. i think also the idea of him wearing a gourmand scent has a lot of interesting character connotations in it-- wanting to be desired, wanting to be almost edible, to attract that sort of temptation. if not a gourmand, i can see him preferring fresh, clean, sharp scents-- hence the choices for him as rashid.
runner-ups: milk by commodity (amber, firewood, tonka bean; ultimately the marshmallow accord felt a bittttt out of line for him but this scent is GOOD. a pinch sharp but in a way that's striking rather than obtrusive) female christ by 19-69 (eucalyptus, woody, with cashmere and cinnamon at the base notes, emerging the longer the scent is worn)
armand as rashid
this one has a lot going on but i NEED you to stay with me and hear me out. first of all-- there's notes of pineapple here, which i feel are soooo good given the 'honey and pineapple' exchange. there's also a lot of sweetness here and while the 'honey' part isn't explicit, i feel like it's still reminiscent of it. also, who's to say rashidmand doesn't wear honey body oil with this? wouldn't put that past him. otherwise, this is also pretty floral, fresh, and long-lasting. my one flaw is it is intense, especially for his playing as rashid. my defense here is this: he's already gone with the slutty shirts and the speaking out of turn, so a memorable scent doesn't seem suddenly too far, at least not to me. also, the bottom notes like the vanilla stabilize the intensity. for the first hour or two after application, i'm sure this lingers in a room (which is what he'd want) but as it fades, you'd have to be in closer proximity to notice it.
runner-ups: honey & crocus by jo malone london (this is the honeyed scent that could replace the pineapple one, with traces of saffron and lavender included too which go nicely) fleur de délice by reminiscence (VERY herbal and fresh)
daniel molloy (1973)
ok i am pretty sure i'm not the first to say this but he's SO jazz club. to me. this on top of probably perpetually smelling like cigarettes. and i've heard it's more masculine-leaning, with the rum, spice, and tobacco staying on the longest. i think in devil's minion canon armand would also be all over this like a bloodhound. not much else to say aside from boozy and kinda sexy. the kind of thing you'd wear to go out and score drugs or a fatal vampire encounter.
runner-ups: none! i stand by this one. possibly book by commodity, which uses cedar and sandalwood to come shockingly close to putting your nose in a book. also accomplishes a sort of smokiness.
daniel molloy
this is kind of like if jazz club matured a bit. from what i read (i haven't smelled this one) it's very leathery and dry with a slight sweetness at the end. it has some pine and dates in the list of accords, which works for me too. it is also a bit sensual and i think daniel would wear this in dubai to see louis for the first time since '73. not too intense, which i think he'd prefer. @operahouses suggested a new car smell and i STRONGLY agree.
runner-ups: ombré leather (2018) by tom ford (this went too herbal for me to attribute to him, but i still think leather is good for him)
claudia in new orleans
getting into headcanon territory. this scent is sweet, light, and rosy. i'm imagining this is a gift from lestat before things soured. also something to wear before she branched out and developed her own preferences. i personally think this one is a bit strong and just a tad like a bath, but then again it's very clean and satisfying when the initial scent sits for a little. the sugarcane there brings it together too. this would also contribute to the infantilization both louis and lestat force upon her, the shared--whether explicit or implicit- idea that she's theirs, only the 'girl' part of daughter and too young and naive to be the 'woman.' i feel like she'd grow to hate this smell eventually the same way she grew to resent what lestat and new orleans meant for her.
runner-ups: rose of no man's land by byredo (i didn't think the spices fit, but could be that's a stepping stone for her)
claudia (paris)
i haven't tried this scent but i do love curatrix. so i think in a similar way to daniel's progression this is an older, sultry, woody-sweet rendition of what a younger claudia would enjoy. knowing curatrix, it's probably a bit intense, but for a woman duelling with the reality she will not ever be properly seen as a woman, i think it's very fitting! the cloves and tobacco lend age to it while the honey and vanilla sweeten it up a bit, dries down into a suggestion of ginger. i think the name would attract her as well. claudia owns being a vampire-- she loves it, wants so badly to be loved by the coven for loving vampirism, so the idea of fatale is definitely something she would gravitate to in my mind.
runner-ups: hypnotic poison by dior (similar wood themes with a bit of floral and fruitiness mixed in, but mostly, the bottle is cute) carmilla by immortal perfumes (the name, naturally-- also has a blood accord!! was my first choice until i remembered fatale exists)
madeline
gets a classic. i wore this for years before i started to present less feminine. it's clean, floral, sweet, a bit powdery, and stays on forever. not too overwhelming but def alluring. one of thee ultimate femme lesbian choices to me!
runner-ups: immortelle by chloé (still white floral with some tonka snuck in. i like the name for her a lot!)
santiago
i really have nothing to say other than this scent doesn't get very good reviews and it kind of pisses me off and that's perfect for him. def wears way too much of this and it pisses off everyone in the coven. the HEIGHT of gay man who is about to infuriate you.
okay i had a lot of fun doing this. so if anybody else matched my freak ab this i would LOVE to do more.

“To place my life in your hands, even if my end is death, is something I’ll never regret.”
I started this one the day the license was first announced in July and then the next week my life went to shit and it took me full 6 months of countless redraws and frustration to get to the finish line 🥹🥹🥹 I couldn′t look at it for few months, but I′m back to loving it now 🥹🥹🥹
More details and explanations under the cut! Because I have so much to say about it! Hehe
Everything in this art is hand drawn. The windows, the wisteria, and more importantly the patterns! I went looking for recreations of Sui dynasty clothes and made my own patterns based on those. One day I want to draw them in actually historical clothes of the era tho because the like, general wuxia clothes just arent accurate and I frankly kind of bland. Sui dynasty had such fun layering and insane colour combos! But I love how this one turned out, the patterns were what finally helped the art feel cohesive. The dotted pattern on his top robe hem is the only one I didnt make myself, its one of the default csp patterns.
2. The colour scheme comes from my favourite of the Peerless covers, volume 4 of the traditional edition, lovingly dubbed the Blood licking cover. You know the scene 😳 (yes thats my own copy of the book)
3. Obsessed with how pretty Feng-er′s face turned out. His dimple 🥹 And the phoenix pendant Ququ got him at the end of the book. Ququ is actually wearing Feng-er′s coat in here and my headcanon is that Feng-er loves flaunting the pendant. He loves it so much
4. Ququ′s under eye bags 🥹🥹🥹 let that boy rest. Mwah. Also not so much fun fact, halfway through the art, I completely erased his whole head and drew it again and completely different because it was bothering me so much lmao. This one is SO much better
5. So I have this running joke where every time I draw book characters holding a book, I always add in the text a meaningful scene related to them. So here it′s the scene early on in the cave where Ququ tells him he thinks he's beautiful, but also insufferable and nobody could ever fall in love with him. Heh. Put on this clown wig, Ququ. Honk honk.
Also while my chinese studies are very much postponed rn, I do have a lot of training in japanese and yknow I actually missed writing in characters so much. Surprisingly therapeutic. Need to get back to it.
Anyway if you somehow made it here, wow! Thank you! I love you!
#Peerless#Wushuang#无双#FengCui#meng xishi#feng xiao#cui buqu#yknow i COULD probably go on. like about how much i actually LOVE drawing these kinds of latices. insanely therapeutical. very calming#also this wisteria brush was so much fun. lovely to use#honestly this didnt do much on twitter which sucks but also none of my art nowadays does much on twitter so i guess thats fine#as long as i have my 6 peerless freaks im fine

I saw the on twitter that they are making making a sequel to the sun and the stars! I hope they won’t but what are your thoughts
What are your feeling towards Solangelo? If you are ok with shareing also will you be reading the sequel to TSATS when it comes out ?
so i love my mutuals. & i know you guys feel the same because of these two anons sent a couple hours apart. i can only assume that shortly after you heard this, you sent these to me hoping to Kill Me 😭 (or whatever)
to sum, i haven’t been a fan of solangelo since BoO era. it’s always been rushed, out of nowhere, yk the drill. i feel like will’s character development has mostly been done by the fandom, which is great for those who enjoy it but i also hate that in relation to canon. Any of Will’s character development post-BoO feels disingenuous because it’s only to serve a purpose of him being Nico’s Boyfriend
i think the only time i remember liking them was the first toa book when they were Fluffie Gay Rep and i was 14. after that, same as above, those feelings went away pretty quickly. I read the first 90 pages of tsats before i gave up, i really wanted to give them a solid chance because i thought this book would fix all my gripes, but really it just made things worse.
also random thought, people have much more in depth posts about this, but I’ve always thought it was weird for a character like Nico (who is canonically disabled if I’m not mistaken?) to have a doctor figure as a boyfriend? just kinda rubs me the wrong way. something something The Care Bear Line in tsats, something something
that being said, I’ve always been very anti-ship war, ship and let ship, i’m an adult with taxes & i support people’s right to be into whatever they want idc. Even if i don’t get it, I’m sure there’s been great creations for the ship, though For Me it’s on my Will Not Write list (i don’t hate it more than caleo though because that’s impossible, so at least there’s that). I know the fanartists are Really Good, and I will occasionally reblog ship art just because I admire it
so no, I don’t plan to read the sequel, though i will probably reblog crit and dunk on it in the event that the book is as bad (or, gods forbid, worse) than the first
then again, i’m being a massive hypocrite rn. if you had a quarter for every time a person made a sequel to a bad fanfiction in which nico di angelo does some heebee sheebee garbage in tatarus involving nyx, one quarter would go to Richard while the other would go to fucking me
#is this everything idk i’m typing this out on my work break#anti solangelo#for the crit#anti tsats#tsats crit#pjo#rose’s asks

BUT RAHHHHHH this is gonna be a such a long fic i think 😭 but i’m SO excited i have a lot of it plotted out it’s just wonky rn so i may have to edit the plot outline and then write it BUT <333 i love art curator geto…….. his painting being titled “kenjaku”…… brain was in the stratosphere when i thought of that i won’t lie…
BUT HEHE BASICALLY!!!! the plot is that fashion designer!reader goes to the museum and sees suguru’s exhibit and is enthralled by his paintings (lots of gothic horror -> tie in to jjk heian era curses/jjk monsters) and reader wants to meld fashion along w art so it’s gonna kinda be that journey of not only them getting to know each other, but also CREATING something together ((this is so vague i know BUT IN MY DEFENSE I’M STILL BRAINSTORMING…… SNIFFLES……. anyways! gonna make suguru so hot & sophisticated & shy it’s bonkers))
but hehe here’s some snippets of the actual kenjaku painting :3 might use one of the lines for suguru’s dad in premonition of love i haven’t decided yet 😗

hiiiii what are your top personal ships of choice for roope and wyatt?
hiiiii! like any person with eyes i see the appeal of roope with miro, or robo, or him with miro AND robo, etc. also i will probably at some point write more roboroope vampire fic because that was fun to me!! i think there's something fun in adding vampirism into their relationship, which is almost strictly a work thing; roboroope was Made for exploring the way intimacy blurs lines, because they so clearly have a brain connection & are so clearly uncomfortable when it's pointed out. they should top that off with blood drinking. i've wanted to go back & explore the potential there a little more since posting that first silly little vampire!roope fic.
i really wanted to get more time to explore roope's vibes w delly (rip) and will probably still end up doing that for at least one (1) fic at some point in the nearish future. i think a corefour (robo roope otter miro) fic at some point would be fun! also maybe just roopeotter, because the way that roope is always there when otter's at Peak Bitchy in net is so fun to me. otter swiping at an opposing player after a stoppage and ROOPE of all people coming in to white knight for him until miro shows up to actually help is so fun!! i know i've seen it happen more than once but take this one gifset of proof.
(sorry this has become less 'personal ships of choice' & more 'fic i want to write for roope.' sorry. but also. like. you get it.)
wyatt i DO actually have big personal ships of choice for!! obviously i love dellywyatt & will probably continue to write for them even with delly in san jose (rip) now because it is simply so narratively compelling to me, and just one 60k fic wasn't enough. i need to write more dellywyatt novels to feel complete, as a person. but also i really like wyatt's dynamic with harls!!! i have one fic for them in the active pipeline but i have ideas for more. oyb made those cheesy romance novel cover edits of the stars & i felt compelled to draw a mockup of a harlswyatt romance novel cover that i was going to post on its own until i decided i wanted to write dumb regency era fic for them to accompany it, so that will come At Some Point because i already have the cover art.
idk if i have any other more out there ships for wyatt. i know people have paired him up w any of the stars vets he's been mentored by which is fun! but mentor-mentee fic is Not So Much my vibe, usually. i've been doing a vibes collection for him & stank but that's a 'see where it goes' kind of thing rn, + also while i'm at it i think we'll see where mavloganwyatt takes us. etc etc etc.
#replies#rpf talk#also though like. again i realize i mostly answered this from a writing perspective but i'll read them in anything paired w anyone!!#i've written roopewyatt fic before even if they're not My Big Thing#and i've loved reading fic for them!!!#+ like i mentioned re: wyattjamie or wyattpavs fic.#i think i think of Personally Shipping Something as like ........ I Have Thought About And/Or Am Willing To Write Fic For That Pairing#but that's just me coming at it from a 'writes fic' perspective. i can & will enjoy seeing roope & wyatt w whoever if it's out there#OH also i know that cel's been doing a vibes collection for roopemiroharls which i shall also keep my eye on to see where it takes us#etc etc etc. again you get it sorry i've been so longwinded tonight

mildyly affected by an edible BUT i got really emotional thinking about c!tommy for the first time in a long time. it’s just…..he was just a kid!! a child!! and child soldier that was thrust into a world that didn’t want him and didn’t want him to succeed and all he had were his connections to his friends and his brother and all he wanted was to great a HOME!!!
ALL C!TOMMY EVER WANTED WAS TO GO HOMEEEEE AND HANG OUT WITH HIS OLDER BROTHER AND GET IN TROUBLE AND JUST GENUINELY BE A CHILDDDDD
like he sacrificed EVERYTHING literally everything he could to build out this home with the people he cares about safely in their own nation and he was still left behind or betrayed by everyone in the end so it was ultimately for nothing
he was a child soldier trying desperately to keep his family together and safe despite literally every adult character on the server being actively harmful to him and he was the one responsible for keeping himself together
like i think back to exile all the time and this might just be me reminiscing and wanting for that period in my life and that feeling back but i was genuinely so affected by exile, logging on everyday to watch as this child soldier slowly loses more and more of his will to live until he tries to kill himself, rethinks half way, and escapes to techno, probably one of the last people he could even think to trust
and god i miss technoblade, i think back to his stream and his videos all the time and am getting a tattoo as tribute to him and his contribution and i loved his content and god he committed!! like the dsmp was CRAZY in which the streams you watched were (for most creators) ENTIRELY in character and techno and tommy deserved OSCARS for that fucking acting like their confrontation at both the festival and doomsday was POWERFUL BROUGHT ME TO TEARS and outside of dsmp content they were so good together!! literally i was obsessed i watched streams almost everyday i felt so connected to people and to a community (in general terms)
i just, i miss that time. i miss the art and the fics and being so intertwined with fan made content for a plot line that while not always thought out was full of flawed characters and themes and motifs it was crazy
and while this might make no sense as i am slightly high rn i just wanted to ramble about dsmp bc i feel like i never got closure on that part of my life and i want to go back and finish all the fics i opened on an extra tab and never went back to read like i missed that era so bad and i’ve been looking for one like it ever since
#dsmp#technoblade#tommyinnit#minecraft roleplay#this is NOT pro cc!wilbur or anything of the sort don’t think bc i miss the brotherly relationship that i excuse or support anything#the creator has done#i just miss that part of my life#the constant streams???#bro karl and quackitys random streams at night literally were a god send like i miss that so much#literally a godsend#like i would watch all the time i need that again

are you familiar with the band ghost town? maybe i'm projecting as a former emo teen myself but every time i hear them now i think of your hellaween cast, i love the spooky but fun vibes in the comics
also side ask - do you ever do commission work? i'm guessing you're busy with bigger projects rn but i wanted to check all the same. absolutely love your work !!
I'm not familiar with this band at all! Looks like they were around when I was in college and fully in my goth frat boy party rock era. But listening to a few songs this is definitely in line with what they'd listen to. (if anyone makes their own hellaween playlists you have to tag me so I can see) You are correct, I don't take commissions. Outside of my books I still work full time in animation so any other art I do is for me and me only!

HOPE YOUR HEAD FEELS BETYER!! HEADACHES SUCK
anywayys requesting mori or tecchou or fyodor for the character thing [or bc you don’t need to do all of them pick and choose <3]
DOING ALL OF THEM i cant do the doodles i dont have the motivation for art rn i lied about that BUT ILL DO ALL THREE OF THEM
under a cut because these got LONG
MORI
first impression
honestly i think when i first met mori in the anime i was like oh hes sweet i like him . then it was the whole "woah port mafia boss!!!!" thing and i was like oh hes sweet and deadly i like him .
impression now
i love him soo much did you know. hes so fun hes just a silly guy . silly !!!
favorite moment
honestly the moment (from the manga specifically) thats stuck with me the most was the frame that he like, put tachihara's hd hat on his head and was like "you dropped something" it just STUCK with me
outside of canon manga stuff tho i love the little intersection in wan ep 11 that hes like "WHAT DID YOU SEND ME DAZAI ... THESE ARE ... SCARY!!!!!" like hes just so silly i love him
idea for a story
genuinely i do not think about story ideas enough to have a solid one for him but if it counts i often think about him accidentally stealing one of fukuzawa's scarves from That Era i forgot how old he was at the time . and then just keeping it . and fukuzawa finds out somehow . i love them shut up
unpopular opinion
uhhh liking mori in general FSJKHASJKHASFJKG like have you seen this fandom . 99% of the people here fucking hate mori with a passion . and just liking him is super controversial . aside from that though ive seen analyses (tending to be like "mori and pedophilia" or something along those lines) and honestly they make me feel like hes just being really uuuh whats the word. really abstract with how he says things i guess? like one in particular i remember was a word in the original manga (jap) and he said a word that means both "wife" and "thing by my side" or something like that, when theres so many different words he could have used if he wanted to be Creepy specifically. idk theres my mori opinion its so controversial i know block me if u'd like but i love him
favorite relationship
HAHA zskk . easily . love those dumbass gayasses
favorite headcanon
uuuuuh . probably trans mori honestly FJKHASDFGHADFG maybe im biased (trans) but like ... idk i am very biased about this
TECCHOU
first impression
genuinely when i first met all of the hunting dogs i forgot all of their names immediately . as chapters went on though i think the two main things i remember thinking "hes adorable" and "hes in love with jouno 100%"
impression now
i . love him . so much . he is the silliest little guy ever and hes also me . also hes still in love with jouno btw
favorite moment
every one of them /j no but fr in specific i love the ant scene (it was one of the only ones i remembered from the manga after i read that chapter i think), the justice speech / kenji fight (GOD hes so cool) and when he gets hit by the car (that was THE FUNNIEST ever)
idea for a story
oh my god okay so imagine jouno is sick and tecchou is taking care of him . that is all
unpopular opinion
i dont actually think i have an unpopular opinion for tecchou . at least not one that i can think of???? like with tecchou i think most of my hcs line up with how a lot of the fandom talks about him
favorite relationship
EASILY WITHOUT A DOUBT ITS SUEGIKU OH MY GOD
favorite headcanon
he can cook !!!!! he can cook really well and i like to imagine even though he refuses to eat anything thats not the same color he likes cooking stuf he knows jouno likes and doesnt force him to eat any of his "weird" food combos because he knows jouno doesnt really like stuff like that so he cooks how jouno likes for jouno and how he likes for himself . UAHUAUAHGUA
FYODOR
first impression
i think i initially went "oh my god" when i saw fyodor . fell for him IMMEDIATELY and also initially hated fyolai???
impression now
still falling . now love fyolai . improvements !!!
favorite moment
YES. /j
in all seriousness, some of my favorite moments with fyodor are uuh

Saw your 'corruption' ZeLink fantasy and felt I should share what I would love to use it for if I had the writing skills. So... while reading, I thought of how some people are of the HC (myself included!) that every Game!Zelda is Hylia reborn just as she had been in SS but people In Universe think that's naught but fanciful stories, that Hylia Ascended into Divinity once more after her SS!life ended. Now, for my version of your Zelink 'corruption' fantasy I think that Link is very much aware and fully believes such 'stories', (maybe through Fi or his dreams or just a sort of sixth sense or because of his being The Hero or however else one can reason it out) so when Zelda's trying so hard to be 'pure as the Goddess' as the various factions of clergy tell her she should be he's like, 'fuck that.'
He's of the opinion that she doesn't need to be 'pure' as those of Mortal ken would describe it, but that she needs to be 'pure' to Herself as She is. A Goddess. To be worshipped, not to worship. Especially towards a replacement/false idol since they do not remember Her as She once was before Time made Mortals forget that She walks among them as Her own descendant when Demise's Curse rears its head once more.
So he teaches her in a sort of reverse psychology way. He bugs and bugs and bugs (maybe leaving some books on her desk that she'd never find in the Royal Library 'cause they were 'immoral', 'disgusting', or that whoever enjoyed such {whether reading about it or performing it} are 'abnormal' and/or 'heathens', maybe he does one thing or another that she should be punishing him for but isn't because she's 'practicing charity/turning the other cheek' as the clergy taught her the Goddess would want her to do, maybe teasing her and saying something along the lines of, "Oh, dear. Are you frustrated? Tsk, darn. If only my Goddess would command me to finish what I started. Too bad she doesn't seem to be listening.") until she finally finds it in herself to take charge as his Mistress, his Princess, his Goddess. He was her Servant, her Appointed Knight, her Hero. So it is time for him to repent his blasphemy by learning at her feet to stand unless she bids him bend the knee or face punishment. (Orgasm denial? Overstimulation? Edging? Humiliation? Training him to the point he can only orgasm with her 'help?) He should be answering to her and her alone; kneeling to no one but her. And that includes her father!
This might even be the type of AU that involves her then 'unlocking her power' (one could even have it be that she then uses her power in creative ways when she's playing with her hero; justifying it as 'for science!') but she then keeps quiet about it as validation that everyone around her telling her what to do was wrong and a bit of vindictiveness because 'she's found her worth in herself with her hero's help and love and support so why should she go looking for it with those who tried so hard to knock her down for so long? She'll do her duty when it's time but for now? Let them sweat it out, the bastards.'
What do you think? Do you like my addition to your Zelink 'corruption' fantasy or...?
FOAMING at the mouth rn.
I love female worship okay, the orgasm training is kind of what i was going for in my original post when i talked about them getting turned on when they would pray because they were trained to associate those prayers with the sexual touch of the other.
I also LOVEEEE inappropriate uses of magic (when i was in my star wars era, inappropriate use of the force was my FAVE). and i love the potential of Zelda unlocking her power and using it on Link unexpectedly (lowkey in cnc area, but not in a toxic way haha), or even better Link using his totk right arm to mess with zelda (i reblogged some art of this), even though i know i’m zelda canon the latter couldn’t happen.
REGARDLESS i am OBSESSED with corruption zelink rn and WILL be writing a short fanfic for it! But i wanna finish my current fic ‘best friends’ first!
Zelink smut go brrrrrr

have i said this before?? im gonna say it here right here rn
so i got a lil hc au for dsmp right? ngl its been difficult catching up with canon that my partner and i stemmed so far from it to create our own storyline out of it. :] i love thinking of it as an “ongoing” storyline. instead of things ending the way they did in the canon, it kinda keeps going. and it focuses more on the wholesome relational bonds they all make with each other, healing from their trauma.
for example, sam has grown far BEYOND his warden era. after realizing how much of a toll becoming a guard for the prison was and how little it did for his health, he retired out of it. he tried fixing himself up. especially struggling with insomnia, he’s tried reaching out for help. finding comfort in ponk, bonding with puffy, reconnecting with tommy and tubbo, who he used to be distant from.
tommy has made numerous attempts to move on from his past traumas. he’s found himself coping with making crafts and bracelets, sitting in the grass with tubbo and ranboo, reconnecting with his brother who he’s lost for years up until his revival (haha wilbur ofc), and overally rebuilding himself.
wilbur *especially* has a hugely developed character arc going on. instead of the canon where he comes back revived as a villain willing to finish off what he’s started, he’s come back miserable. after years of rest in limbo, the sudden shock revival has brought to him leaves him lost, unsure how to begin his new life. he’s isolated himself from the ones he used to love, afraid to make connections in fear of being ostracized by them. he suffers from body pain, hearing loss, especially for how long he’s been dead, i can imagine it completely altered his body. this was early revivebur, but to this day he’s been healing from that. <:)
ranboo, quackity, phil, techno, or niki?? i could go on and on about what we’ve changed about em :}
reason i havent talked about this yet is how complex it’s become HGAHSGS!! my partner and i have been building up this lil thing for years from roleplays n crap man. it’s practically expanded so far from the storyline with its own subplots that i cant talk about every little detail we made up? but the best i could do is show little tidbits here and there through my art. :]
in the au, i’d like to think its very similar to the canon in a way that the characters behave, the events play out, and their relationships. the main thing that differs is how we’ve cut off a lot of the aspects that just dont line up with the way we hc em. (examples: we didnt agree with sam’s apathy and aggression in the prison, the infected egg subplot thing, ranboo dying?, and kinda the characters in general permanently dying off, unless they came back revived in some significant way.)
things like lmanburg or doomsday we havent figured out how to include em in the storyline, but if we had to include them, they might be altered just to fit with our hcs. stay tuned for that teehee
its a silly au made by folks that couldnt catch up with the canon! so we just took the dsmp and went “this is ours now” 😁 smiles so evilly
im excited to show this off to the rest of you. youve already gotten peeks of it through my art, but i can’t wait until i can really go in-depth with some of the plots we’ve come up with. :]
#ryemackerel dsmp hcs#NEW TAG HAGSHSHAGA#i havent come up with an au name yet so were just sticking with the dsmp hcs tag#anyways i cant wait to infodump this shit onto you dummies#hehehehaaaaaa#ryemackerel dsmp healing au

My brain is hopping between so many hyperfixations rn
That means the progress on my comic is running at the pace of a snail in a maze of salt. It is still getting done, I just don't know if imma pull out all the bells and whistles like the first part.
Maybe some sketch instead of line art? Not too much shading, minimal backgrounds ... honestly anything to keep this going lol
I love this comic but my bran chose to slam the breaks for a while lol
ADHD BE DAMNED I SHALL CONTINUE FROM PURE FORCE OF WILL
I guess this is just me saying I'm entering my fanart Era again. So maybe don't get your hopes up too high for the comic releasing any time soon?
Here is a sketch I have of fobo! ((The main setting of the comic) not sure if imma change anything yet lol
#cosmo convos#im hitting the brick wall of artblock with a fork in hopes it breaks#i guess i should tag the au here too lol#QSMP Soul Split AU#sorry yall. i am too ambitious for my own good

Hey. Recommend your favorite indie movies rn. I promise ill watch them because i need to watch more indie stuff anyway and i trust your judgment
sooo glad a couple of you took the bait <3
Right off the bat, I'll say that the line between indie and not is a bit blurry and malleable, so I'm defining it as movies that didn't have the backing of a major US studio. That said, there's debate over whether A24 and Annapurna count as major or indie studios. So ultimately, to split the difference, I've settled on 7 "true" indies, one A24 picture, one that's kind of an indie but also not for reasons I'll get into, and one that's not an indie at all but people still don't watch it because it's old so I'm going to take this opportunity to stump for it.
Leave No Trace (2018)
This is the first movie that jumps to mind for me when people ask me about the best indie movies I've seen. It's about an ex-marine with PTSD so severe he can't function in modern society; instead, he and his 13yo daughter live in National Parks. He's homeschooled her (well!) and taught her to be independent and live off the land, and they have a very, very strong relationship. But, she's also 13, and is struggling with the extreme isolation that comes with their lifestyle. She loves her father and doesn't want to abandon him, but it's starting to take a toll on her mental health. And her father loves her, but he's simply incapable of integrating into society in a way that would allow her to have the social relationships she needs. It's moving and heartbreaking and very much a coming-of-age story. Even though the situation at hand is completely alien to my life experience, the core of it is about a father-daughter relationship, and growing up and also losing your father. It came out only two years after my own father died, and on the way home I had to duck into a Mcdonald's bathroom and ugly cry because it jogged something loose in me, which is what finally spurred me to go to grief counselling (which I'd been avoiding for two years).
2. The Five Obstructions (2003)
This one is actually a documentary, but one that I think is worth watching if you're interested in film. The premise is that Lars von Trier has challenged Jørgen Leth to remake his 1970s-era experimental short film, "The Perfect Human", five times - but each time von Trier gives him a set of rules to follow (which, in each case, are designed to "ruin" the picture). Every time Leth comes back with something which has inexplicably been made even better because of the restrictions placed on him. On an academic level, it's fascinating to see how the different techniques change the energy and even the meaning of the film - I'm also personally a huge fan of the use of "creative constraint" in art, so it was especially fascinating to me. On a human level, it's intriguing to watch von Trier try to push Leth to confront less of the "perfect" and more of the "human", and how doing so ultimately elevates the art.
3. A Dog's Breakfast (2007)
This one is maybe the truest indie of all on this list, and the only reason I know it exists is that I've been a long-time fan of its writer + director + producer + star David Hewlett. Hewlett's character (Patrick) is an isolated and somewhat dysfunctional man, who is visited by his sister and discovers that she's engaged. He becomes convinced the fiance is trying to kill her, and decides to try and kill the fiance instead. Patrick's sister Marilyn is played by Hewlett's real-life sister Kate, which personally I think adds something to their whole dynamic. It's a pretty small-scale film - the whole thing takes place at Patrick's house or on his property, and there are only 4 actors, not including Hewlett's real-life dog Mars - and I love what that kind of creative constraint does to a film. Also - it's a comedy (and a riotously funny one, if you enjoy that kind of humour). It's maybe not the deepest or most insightful on this list, but it's a LOT of fun and I've seen it several times.
4. The Invitation (2015)
One of my greatest frustrations in the last year was hearing people talk about The Invitation and getting excited that they were FINALLY discovering this brilliant, underrated indie horror - only to realize they were talking about the shitty vampire movie of the same name. Okay.
The less you know going into The Invitation, the better, so I'll just say it's about a man who goes with his girlfriend to a dinner party hosted by his ex-wife and her new husband. It's immensely suspenseful, and it utilizes the kind of social anxiety that would come with this sort of extremely awkward situation to great effect. The main character and the viewer are constantly asking - is there something weird and sinister going on? Or is this just supremely uncomfortable for other, more mundane reasons? It also touches on grief in some brief but meaningful and relatively poignant ways, and has an extremely chilling and effective coda that I am still thinking about to this day (I am forever trying - and failing - to replicate the impact of this movie's final shot in my own writing).
5. Treed Murray (2001)
This is another one that I only know about because I obsessively watched David Hewlett's filmography for a while. Up front, I'll say it's maybe not the most original or insightful social commentary out there, and I also watched it when I had much less awareness of racial issues than I do now, so it’s possible there are the problematic things in the writing I’ve forgotten about. That’s the disclaimer. But it still holds a special place for me because of the premise - a yuppie ad executive gets chased up a tree by a gang of would-be muggers, and the rest of the movie plays out with him stuck in the tree overnight and them waiting for him to come down. The acting all-around is superb, the script is suspenseful (even if the character beats aren't the most unique or original), and I have such a soft spot for any movie that uses a limitation like "this guy is gonna be in a tree the whole time" to its advantage like that, so it's making the list.
6. Nightcrawler (2014)
This is one that's technically indie, but because Jake Gyllenhall is attached it got a lot more attention than another film might have. Gyllenhall is a "nightcrawler" - a video journalist who drives around at night looking for shocking crimes and accidents he can film and sell to news stations for their morning news. It's dark, it's suspenseful - and it's also an incredibly cogent commentary on the news media, how it exploits victims, and how it plays into polarization, division, and marginalization for profit.
7. The Death of Stalin (2017)
Again, this one's technically indie, but Steve Buscemi is in it and it's written and directed by the guy who did Veep, so it got its fair share of attention. But it is one of my all-time favourite movies. It's a satirical look at the leadership of the Soviet Union in the days immediately following Stalin's death; it's bitingly funny, and a lot of humour rests on the sort of bureaucracy that's frustratingly relatable to anyone who's ever worked in an office. At the same time, it manages to touch on the horrors of that period in history in a way that is genuine and respectful, which is a difficult line to walk. Altogether it makes for something that manages to be simultaneously entertaining and somewhat chilling.
8. First Reformed (2018)
This is the one A24 picture I mentioned, but I'm including it in part because it hasn't gotten as much attention as other A24 movies, and in part because it had such a huge impact on me personally. Ethan Hawke plays the pastor of a tiny little tourist church, suffering from depression after losing his son in the Iraq War. A pregnant parishioner comes to him to ask him to speak to her husband, an environmental activist who believes it's wrong to bring children into a world facing climate catastrophe. That encounter shakes the pastor and sends him spiralling as he tries to reconcile the state of the world and the deterioration of the environment with the kind of pat, consumable, shallow, capitalist christianity being pushed by the protestant megachurch which owns his parish.
I will say that part of the reason this film resonated with me so specifically is because I saw it at a point in my life where I was pretty severely depressed, struggling with repressed grief, and really grappling with questions around the faith I'd been raised with, so it spoke to me in a very particular personal way. It might not resonate with other people in quite the same way, but I do think, regardless, it's a well-done exploration of a particular kind of psyche, and so worth a watch.
9. Snowpiercer (2016)
So this one is debatable as an indie; it had a budget of $40 million, it stars Chris Evans, and its worldwide box office was nearly $88 million. Most of that $88 million, though, came from South Korea (where it was initially released) and China; when it came to the US it had a reception and release much more comparable to an indie. So it's a weird one to talk about, because it's "indie" in North America only, and it raises questions as to whether we should be sticking to definitions of "indie" that center on US production companies. If a South Korean studio can make a comparable effort and expenditure, should it not be classified as a major studio?
But. The point of this list is movies I (a North American) recommend to my (largely North American) friends and they simply don't watch because they're "indie movies", and this absolutely fits that bill. And it's especially galling after the (deserved!) success of Parasite. Snowpiercer is also a Bong Joon-Ho film, and while it's not on the same level as Parasite (few things are) it's still excellent. It has all of the suspense, nuance, character work, and adept social commentary of Parasite, but in a dystopian post-apocalyptic setting. After a new ice age brought about by climate change, all of humanity lives on a train constantly circling the globe. The few wealthy live at the front of the train; the many, many poor live at the back. Chris Evans' character leads an insurgency against Wilbur, who runs the train, and the film follows his group of rebels as they move from the back to the front. (I also love this premise because of the physical space limitations which come from having your whole movie set on a train, which the film uses VERY well, especially in its action sequences).
10. Touch of Evil (1958)
So this one is cheating because it's not an indie at all. In fact, the edits made by the major studio it was attached to (Universal) are a big part of why it flopped so hard when it first came out. But I'm taking this opportunity to stump for it as a movie that I love so dearly and no one ever watches because it's black and white and old and Orson Welles directed it and people immediately think of Citizen Kane and think it'll be boring and don't want to touch it. But it is excellent (provided you can get past Charlton Heston in brownface, which is.... hm). It's probably my favourite classic noir (and I have seen many noirs). A car bomb explodes along the US-Mexico border, and Heston, a Mexican drug enforcement agent, has to partner with an American police captain (played by Welles) to investigate - but he quickly starts to suspect that the American captain is planting evidence. The movie itself is dark and gripping and suspenseful, but I also think the key ideas about the ethics of the police and the importance of civil liberties are especially resonant now. It makes the opposite argument of modern "copaganda" that implies that we would all be better off throwing our rights in the trash and letting the cops do whatever they wanted. Instead, Welles is making a case that, actually, personal rights are important and must be held sacred, even if (and especially if) that makes the cops' jobs harder.
#asks#anon#one thing about me is that if you limit the physical space your story takes place in I will absolutely be a sucker for it

Your art is so amazing!!! I admire the way you build characters with strong shapes and zany silhouettes, and your scratchy lines + the crazy color composition is just pure -chef's kiss- 😙👌👌👌 It's super inspiring!! Do you mind sharing anythin or anyone that's helped shape your style?
thank you vuerrry much, i'm flattered .... <3 i think 19th-20th century art is a big driving force in my stuff rn, always will be. i'd say i leech off paul gaugin, john singer sargent & my very favorite odilon redon, all of his stuff makes me do backflips, makes me fly and bounce off the walls. also love how pierre brissaud & andre-edouard marty operate in their art. don't have many smart words to say, i just like them a lot lol. i also noticed that starting 2 draw skajrim characters and things related to it did wonders for me, i think just drawing such grimy and dirty boiled water vibe-d games would do a lot of good for a lot of artists. in general it's been about 2 years since i really started drifting away from drawing a lot of ani/manga fanart & consuming such media; & it's........great, hoenstly, no shade, i still like some medias i consumed in that era but rn i can't imagine doing that. just speaking from my experience, moving from more cutesy stylized stuff to a tad bit more realistic direction has me in a really content place. & as a tip trying a lot of things and being able to do a lot of things is awesome and grand; consistency in art is a literal joke. ❤
